St. Cloud State University announces homecoming and new scholarship program

St. Cloud State University (SCSU) has announced its upcoming homecoming festivities, scheduled from September 30 to October 3. The celebration includes a variety of community and alumni events, such as a melon drop, a hidden husky hunt, and an OurSCSU Gala. For the first time, the homecoming game will feature a volleyball match, where SCSU will face the University of Minnesota Crookston on October 3. The university is offering free admission to the volleyball match and hosting pre-game activities at Husky Headquarters.

In addition to campus events, SCSU is launching the Huskies Scholars Program to improve affordability for Minnesota students. The program offers 75 full four-year scholarships covering tuition and fees for high school seniors entering the university in 2027. To qualify, students must be Minnesota residents with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Recipients will receive direct admission to the SCSU Honors College and priority class registration. Eligible students must complete their admission registration by November 1, with final transcripts and essays due by December 1.
