St. Elisabeth-Krankenhaus announces leadership change in internal medicine

Dr. Christoph Elsing is retiring from St. Elisabeth-Krankenhaus in Dorsten after nearly 26 years as the Chief Physician of the Clinic for Internal Medicine, covering gastroenterology, diabetology, and metabolic diseases. He was honored during a ceremony on September 9.

Dr. Michal Krzyminski has been introduced as the new Chief Physician to take over the responsibility for the internal medicine department. Elsing also served as the medical director of the blood depot in Dorsten and Haltern and as the transfusion officer in Dorsten; he is expected to continue supporting the hospital in these specific roles beyond his retirement.
