St. Georgen playground faces maintenance delays and safety issues

Residents in St. Georgen are expressing frustration over the deteriorating condition of the Schanz playground. A slide at the facility has been cordoned off with construction fences for months because a missing top step has rendered the equipment unsafe for children.

Local residents have raised additional concerns regarding the lack of sufficient trash cans, the absence of a promised drinking fountain, and the lack of toilet facilities. While the city is funding large-scale projects such as the Wilhelminenaue nature area design and a new city archive, citizens have questioned the prioritization of these multi-million euro investments over basic playground maintenance.
