St Gotthard leads betting for the Run To The Rose

The 2026 Run To The Rose, a Group 2 $300,000 race held at Rosehill Gardens, features a field of three-year-olds competing over 1200 meters. Following the withdrawal of Stormy Marco, the field has been reduced to twelve starters.

St Gotthard, trained by Chris Waller and ridden by James McDonald, enters the race as the betting favourite at $2.70. The colt is making only his third career start after previously winning the Group 3 Ken Russell Memorial Classic.

Trainer Chris Waller is well-represented in the event with several runners, including the second favourite, Central Europe, who is priced at $5.50. Other notable competitors in the betting market include Under Focus and Warwoven.
