S:t Görans hospital to receive new solar cell installation

Locum, the manager of Region Stockholm’s healthcare properties, has launched a new initiative to expand solar energy production across its facilities. The project begins at the S:t Görans hospital area, where solar cells will be installed on two buildings, specifically buildings 20 and 45.

According to Petra Kinnerberg, energy strategist at Locum, this expansion is expected to increase the region’s annual solar energy production by approximately 30 percent compared to current levels. The initiative aims to increase the production of renewable electricity and enhance the energy robustness of the property portfolio. Installation work is scheduled to commence during the third quarter of 2026, with the facility expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of that year.
