An intoxicated driver injured a resident in St. Ingbert after attempting to bypass a broken-down bus by driving over a sidewalk and a green space. According to police, the driver initially honked for several minutes before attempting the maneuver.

When a local resident tried to prevent the driver from using the sidewalk, the individual was struck by the vehicle and thrown onto the hood, resulting in minor injuries. The driver then attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended by police a few hundred meters away. The suspect reportedly resisted arrest at the station and has had his driver's license confiscated following a blood sample test.
