St John Ambulance launches campaign to train 500,000 people in life-saving skills
St John Ambulance has launched the ‘Save a Life September’ campaign, aiming to provide life-saving skills training to 500,000 people. The initiative utilizes public demonstrations, online videos, and advice to teach vital first aid knowledge, including how to manage choking incidents, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use a defibrillator, and treat severe bleeding.
In conjunction with these efforts, the Keele First Aid Society is preparing for the 2026/27 academic year. The society offers practical training sessions and provides students with opportunities to volunteer with St John Ambulance in roles such as Community First Aider, Emergency Responder, and Emergency Ambulance Crew.
