In an exhibition basketball matchup at Madison Square Garden, St. John’s defeated Rutgers 104-99 in a quadruple overtime contest. The Red Storm overcame an 18-point deficit in the first half to secure the victory.

Ian Jackson led the scoring with 24 points, while Keyshawn Hall recorded 24 points and 14 rebounds in his first start. Quinn Ellis contributed nine assists and defensive impact with two steals and four blocks. Head coach Rick Pitino noted that while Jackson showed scoring potential, there is a need for improved fundamental play.
