St. John’s soccer teams face mixed results in recent matches

Saint John’s University men’s soccer secured a 2-1 victory over Carleton on October 24. Freshman Soren Benson opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed by a game-winning goal from freshman Ethan Brown in the 64th minute. The win moves the Johnnies into sole possession of third place in the MIAC.

In separate action, the St. John’s Red Storm men’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to No. 14 Maryland. Despite a strong defensive effort in the first half, Maryland’s Rodrigo Neri scored in the 61st minute to secure the win for the Terrapins. The Red Storm struggled to generate offensive pressure, managing only two shots on goal during the match.
