St. John's volleyball sweeps Fordham 3-0

St. John's University volleyball secured its first road win of the 2026 season with a 3-0 sweep against Fordham University at the Rose Hill Gym in the Bronx. The match featured a coaching matchup between St. John's head coach Joanne Persico and her former associate head coach, Fordham's Bryan Weber.

The Red Storm won the sets with scores of 25-20, 25-22, and 25-19. St. John's recorded 39 kills as a team, led by Lejla Hadziredzepovic with nine kills and 3.5 blocks. Rashanny Solano Smith contributed a match-high 14 digs.

Fordham was led by Mila Micunovic with nine kills and Ozge Ozaslan with 22 digs. Following the loss, Fordham falls to a 4-3 record, while St. John's improves to 5-2.
