St. Josef Hospital celebrates graduation of 19 nursing specialists

Nineteen students have successfully completed their three-year nursing specialist training at St. Josef Hospital in Schweinfurt. Following the graduation ceremony for the 2023/26 cohort, the hospital announced it will hire 15 of the graduates.

Nine students received the state prize for outstanding academic and practical performance. Seven of these award winners will remain at St. Josef Hospital as skilled professionals. The training program included rotations through various departments, such as the emergency room, surgery, geriatrics, and intensive care units, as well as experience in external nursing homes.

A significant component of the curriculum involves international internships. Through the ‘AusbildungWeltweit’ and ‘Erasmus+’ programs, 18 students completed three-week placements in Basel, Switzerland; Vienna and Salzburg, Austria; and Philadelphia, USA. The hospital's nursing school has been recognized by the Bavarian State Ministry as one of the top ten vocational nursing schools in Bavaria for three consecutive years.
