St Kilda confirms trade request from Rowan Marshall

St Kilda Football Club has confirmed that ruckman Rowan Marshall has requested a trade for the second consecutive year. Although the 30-year-old remains under contract until the end of 2027, he has informed the club of his desire to move during the upcoming trade period, which runs from October 5 to October 14.

While Marshall has not officially nominated a preferred destination, reports suggest interest from Geelong, a club he also targeted during the previous trade period. Other clubs, including Essendon and the Western Bulldogs, have also been linked to the player. St Kilda stated that while Marshall is a highly valued member of the team, any potential trade must be in the best interests of the club.

In a separate development, the Saints also indicated they would listen to offers for small forward Liam Henry. The 24-year-old, who joined St Kilda from Fremantle, is currently contracted until the end of next year.
