Boston College sets NCAA hockey records in 17-0 victory
Boston College women’s hockey set multiple historic records in their season opener, defeating Stonehill 17-0. The 17-goal performance established a new program record for goals in a single game and set the NCAA record for the largest goal differential in women’s hockey history. Eleven different players scored for the Eagles, with Ava Thomas recording a hat trick and Sammy Taber reaching the 100-point career milestone.
In men’s hockey, Boston College split their exhibition matches, losing 5-2 to Michigan State before securing a dominant 10-1 victory against the USNTDP.
Other collegiate soccer results included Lycoming College defeating Drew University 3-0, St. Lawrence University beating Bard 2-1, and Boston University remaining undefeated in Patriot League play following a 2-1 win over Loyola Maryland. Additionally, Lehigh University secured a 3-3 draw against Holy Cross after overcoming a 3-1 deficit.
