St. Lawrence Night Celebrations Planned Across Italy

Italian towns are organizing public events for the annual St. Lawrence Night, when the Perseid meteor shower peaks on the night of August 12‑13. In Legnano, LegnanoNews suggests five activities, including an evening tour of Castel Baradello on August 10, a series of picnic‑and‑stargazing evenings at the EcoPlanetario in Tradate from August 8‑11, open‑air monastery visits in Torbanelle, and a guided Perseid observation at the Milan Planetarium on August 10.

In the Ligurian village of Pieve di Teco, the municipality will host the “Borgo dei Desideri” on August 10. The free program features a sunset concert by Baya do Sabre’s, a wish‑well where participants write their desires, storytelling about the St. Lawrence tradition, and live music.
