St. Louis City SC and Schnucks launch weeklong food drive for Operation Food Search
St. Louis City SC and grocery chain Schnucks are partnering on a weeklong food drive, August 5‑11, at Schnucks stores across the St. Louis metro area. The drive supports Operation Food Search, which serves more than 200,000 people and reports a regional food‑insecurity rate of 12.7%, with some neighborhoods reaching 18.4%. Players Miguel Perez, Tomáš Ostrák and Palmer Ault will appear at the Lindenwood Schnucks in St. Charles on August 6 from 6‑7 p.m. to collect donations, sign autographs and meet fans.
The Lindenwood store is also celebrating the completion of a full remodel with a customer‑appreciation weekend from August 6‑9. Events include a ribbon‑cutting ceremony on August 7, live music, product sampling, family activities and giveaways. The remodel added new departments, expanded the deli and bakery, and introduced a Schnucks Burgers + Bites concept. Both the food‑drive and store celebration aim to engage the community and address local hunger.
Operation Food Search President & CEO Kristen Wild highlighted the partnership’s role in “building a healthier and more vibrant region.” Schnucks Director of Community Engagement & Customer Care Schron Jackson emphasized the company’s mission to fight hunger.
