Carlo Holse opened the scoring in the 43rd minute following an assist from Alexandru Mățan. Tomas Totland doubled the lead in the 54th minute, and Simon Becher scored in the 68th minute to extend the advantage to 3-0. Toronto FC’s Theo Corbeanu scored a late header in stoppage time to prevent a clean sheet for St. Louis keeper Roman Bürki.

The loss marks back-to-back heavy defeats for Toronto FC, following a 3-0 loss to Orlando. The team now faces a match against the Supporters Shield leaders in Nashville.
