St. Louis Jimmy John’s employee charged in shooting of 14-year-old girl

A 27-year-old Jimmy John’s employee, Adam White, has been charged with multiple felonies following a shooting in St. Louis that wounded a 14-year-old girl. The incident occurred Saturday evening near the intersection of Vandeventer and Laclede avenues.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting originated from a dispute involving the teenager's mother and several individuals connected to the Jimmy John’s located in the 3800 block of Laclede Avenue. Investigators state that after a verbal argument in the parking lot, the girl, her mother's boyfriend, and a former employee entered a vehicle to leave the scene. White allegedly fired multiple rounds into the rear of the moving vehicle, striking the teenager in the left leg.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. White faces several felony charges, including first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and first-degree child endangerment.
