St. Louis law enforcement operation results in 435 arrests
Operation Show Me Justice, a multi-agency public safety initiative in St. Louis, Missouri, has concluded with 435 criminal arrests. The eight-week enforcement effort targeted violent offenders, illegal firearms trafficking, and drug-related crimes.
Coordinated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) alongside the U.S. Marshals Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the St. Louis Police Department, the operation resulted in the seizure of 166 illegal firearms and six machine-gun conversion devices. Authorities also confiscated between 80 and 81 kilograms of illegal drugs and recovered over $1 million in currency.
Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter noted that 412 of the arrests involved individuals with outstanding warrants. The Department of Justice highlighted the initiative as a model for cooperation between federal, state, and local agencies to combat violent crime.
