St. Louis officials warn of possible measles exposure at Busch Stadium

Missouri health officials have issued a warning regarding a possible measles exposure at Busch Stadium and several local businesses in the St. Louis area. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MDHSS) reported that the potential exposures occurred between September 12 and September 14.

In addition to the stadium, the exposure may have included various local establishments such as bars, a cafe, a restaurant, a sandwich shop, a grocery store, and a convenience store. Health officials advise anyone who may have been exposed to monitor for symptoms for 21 days and to contact local public health agencies or healthcare providers if symptoms appear.

This incident follows recent measles activity in the state, including a possible exposure at a train station in Sedalia, Missouri, linked to a Chicago-bound train. Dr. Kanika Cunningham, director of the Saint Louis County Department of Public Health, emphasized that vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to protect the community.
