St. Louis Shock Wins MLP Mid‑Season Pickleball Tournament Over New Jersey 5s

St. Louis Shock captured the MLP Mid‑Season Tournament title by defeating New Jersey 5s 3–0 in the final held at Belknap Park, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on July 12, 2026. The victory tied both teams at 93 points in the season standings, but the Shock earned the tiebreaker thanks to a superior regular‑season win rate (91 % vs. 86 %).

The Shock took control in women's doubles, with Anna Bright and Kate Fahey beating Anna Leigh Waters and Jorja Johnson 11‑6, handing the New Jersey pair their first loss after a 25‑match winning streak. They continued the sweep by winning men's doubles (Hayden Patriquin and Gabriel Tardio 11‑3) and mixed doubles (Bright/Patriquin 11‑8) against Waters and Noe Khlif. The win awarded St. Louis Shock 10 standings points, while New Jersey 5s received six.

The tournament followed semifinals in which New Jersey 5s beat Columbus Sliders 3‑1 and St. Louis Shock overcame Los Angeles Mad Drops 3‑1. The regular season will resume with MLP San Diego from July 16‑19.
