St Lucia Kings replace Noor Ahmad with Tim Seifert after ACB revokes NOC
The St Lucia Kings will be without Afghan left-arm wrist-spinner Noor Ahmad for the remainder of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season after the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) revoked his No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Ahmad, who was the tournament's most successful bowler during the Kings' championship run in 2024, did not travel to the West Indies following the decision. The franchise expressed disappointment regarding his unavailability but has moved quickly to secure a replacement.
New Zealand opening batter and wicketkeeper Tim Seifert has been signed to join the squad. Seifert arrives with strong recent form, having been a top performer in the 2026 Hundred tournament. He previously played in the CPL for the Trinbago Knight Riders.
