Ústí nad Labem completes sewage expansion in Svádov

The city of Ústí nad Labem has completed the second stage of a sewage system expansion in the Svádov district. The project involved constructing approximately 2.7 kilometers of new sewage lines and a new pumping station to connect 116 households to the central network.

The infrastructure project aims to improve local environmental protection by preventing wastewater from being discharged directly into the Bahniště stream. Previously, many residents relied on septic tanks that often overflowed into the local waterway. The new system will direct wastewater to the existing treatment plant in Neštěmice.

The total cost of the project is estimated between 58.4 million and 70 million CZK (excluding VAT). A significant portion of the funding, nearly 32 million CZK, was provided by a subsidy from the European Union through the Operational Programme Environment 2021–2027. The project was carried out in cooperation with the North Bohemian Water Company (SVS).
