St. Nicholas National Shrine restarts Sunday School program

The St. Nicholas National Shrine at Ground Zero has announced the resumption of its Sunday School program, beginning Sunday, September 6. The program is designed to introduce children to the Orthodox faith and Church teachings through lessons, activities, and social interaction.

The 18-week curriculum is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, January 24. Meetings will take place on Sundays on the third floor following Holy Communion. To accommodate holidays, the program includes breaks on November 29 for Thanksgiving, December 27 for Christmas, and January 3 for New Year’s.

Participation in the Sunday School is free of charge, though the National Shrine accepts optional donations to cover costs for educational materials and program activities. The initiative aims to strengthen ties between younger community members and the parish while providing a social environment for children to build friendships.
