St. Patrick's Cathedral to host prayer mass for Pope and 9/11 victims

Italian Catholics in New York are gathering at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Wednesday, October 14, for a mass and musical event featuring tenor Raffaello Bellavista. The service, officiated by priest Luigi Portarulo, serves a dual purpose: commemorating the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and honoring the 414 Italian victims of that tragedy.

Additionally, the E-novation Foundation has issued an appeal for communal prayer for the health of Pope Leo XIV, who is currently hospitalized. Foundation President Massimo Lucidi encouraged participation to provide spiritual support during this time. The event is expected to see attendance from various Italian institutions currently in New York and Washington D.C.
