St. Vincent police officers complete homicide investigation training
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has concluded an eight-day Crime Scene Management and Homicide Investigation Training Programme. On October 1, 2026, 21 participants successfully completed the training and examinations to become certified in these specialized fields.
Acting Commissioner of Police Trevor Bailey congratulated the officers, noting that the certification marks the start of a continuous process of professional growth. The training was facilitated by a group of experts, including Paul Hurley of the Mustique Company, and specialists from the United Kingdom with extensive experience in crime scene investigation and management.
The curriculum covered critical investigative areas such as evidence preservation, intelligence gathering, witness and suspect management, DNA, fingerprints, and the importance of protecting forensic evidence during the ‘Golden Hour’ of an investigation.
