Stabbing Incident at Vienna Westbahnhof Leads to Arrest

A conflict at the Europaplatz near Vienna's Westbahnhof escalated on Tuesday evening when a 33‑year‑old woman drew a knife and attempted to stab a 30‑year‑old man. Police intervened, disarming the woman and inflicting cut and stab injuries on her face and right hand. The man allegedly kicked the woman in the abdomen as she tried to flee. Both parties were taken into custody: the woman was treated by emergency services and later charged with attempted serious bodily injury and weapons violations, while the man was charged with intentional serious bodily injury and is currently held in police custody. The recovered knife was secured by authorities.
