In Castellammare di Stabia, the Associazione Parco delle Acque di Stabia has expressed serious concerns regarding a €12 million renovation project for the ancient thermal baths. The association specifically opposes the planned construction of a parking lot within the facility area, citing hydrogeological risks. Experts warn that motor vehicle emissions and hydrocarbons could penetrate the soil and contaminate the mineral water table, potentially compromising the site's health and future expansion plans. The association suggests using nearby areas and public transport, such as the EAV inclined elevator, as alternatives.

Meanwhile, in San Ferdinando, Calabria, local authorities and the regional government have announced that the sea has reached full bathability status. Regional Councilor Domenico Giannetta credited the achievement to collaborative efforts between the Calabria Region and the municipal administration.
