StablecoinX appoints Christopher Jensen as new CEO
StablecoinX, a Nasdaq-listed company focused on the Ethena ecosystem, has appointed Christopher Jensen as its new Chief Executive Officer. Jensen, a former digital asset executive at Franklin Templeton, succeeds founder Ted Chen, who will remain as the company’s board chairman.
StablecoinX is the largest corporate holder of ENA tokens, possessing approximately 3.03 billion tokens, which represents about 20% of the total supply. At recent market prices, this treasury is valued at roughly $480 million. The leadership transition occurs as Ethena expands its utility through the launch of Ethena Pay, a wallet application allowing users in 48 countries to use the USDe synthetic dollar for spending, saving, and transfers.
While the ENA token has seen a year-to-date decline of approximately 20%, it has experienced a recent surge of over 80% in the past month. Jensen’s appointment is viewed as a strategic move to bring institutional expertise to the management of the company’s significant ENA treasury.
