StablecoinX secures permanent ENA token lock-up waiver

StablecoinX has reached an agreement with Ethena OpCo and the Ethena Foundation to permanently waive all lock-up, vesting, and scheduled release restrictions on its ENA token holdings. The waiver is set to take effect on October 5.

StablecoinX, a digital asset treasury company, expects to hold approximately 3 billion ENA tokens by the end of the second quarter of 2026. The removal of these restrictions provides the company with greater flexibility to manage its assets, which may include selling, transferring, or using the tokens for liquidity and staking to generate revenue.

While the lock-up is removed, StablecoinX does not have unrestricted control. The company must provide five business days’ notice before using ENA for approved funding sales, and the Ethena Foundation retains consent rights over sales, transfers, loans, and hedges. The October 5 effective date aligns with the release schedule previously announced for other ENA holders.
