STACO Insurance delisted from Nigerian Exchange

The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) has delisted the securities of STACO Insurance Plc from its Daily Official List. The delisting became effective on Monday, September 21, 2026.

The decision follows the revocation of STACO Insurance’s operating licence by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), which took effect on August 3, 2026. NGX Regulation stated that the loss of the operating licence meant the company’s securities were no longer suitable for continued listing and trading on the Exchange.

The action was taken pursuant to Clause 14 of the Amended Form of General Undertaking for Listing on Nigerian Exchange Limited. This clause grants the Exchange the discretion to suspend trading, delist securities, or remove an issuer if they fail to comply with general undertakings or if such action is deemed to be in the public interest.
