STADA Group invests 20 million euros in Hemofarm production in Serbia

The STADA Group has approved a new 20 million euro investment in the production capacities of Hemofarm, located in Vršac, Serbia. This decision was made by the STADA Group's Global Executive Board to expand manufacturing and develop new production facilities.

Peter Goldschmidt, CEO of the STADA Group, announced the investment in Belgrade, noting that the move demonstrates a long-term commitment to the Serbian market. He highlighted that Serbia has evolved into a key location for international roles within the group, with production serving not only the local market but also the European Union, the Middle East, and other global markets, with Germany being the largest market for products manufactured in Vršac.

The investment coincides with the 20th anniversary of STADA's acquisition of Hemofarm. Over the past two decades, Hemofarm has transitioned from a company focused primarily on generic medicines to a manufacturer of specialized generics, innovative products, and consumer healthcare items. Hemofarm currently employs approximately 4,500 people and exports products to roughly 30 countries.
