Stade de France prepares for youth prayer vigil with Pope Leo XIV

A large-scale musical event is being prepared for a youth prayer vigil at the Stade de France on September 25, featuring Pope Leo XIV and approximately 80,000 faithful.

Nomena, a 14-year-old altar boy and member of the Reims Cathedral choir, has been selected to perform Gabriel Fauré’s ‘En prière’ as a soloist before the Pope. His participation follows a scheduling change involving soprano Monroe’s sacred singing recital.

In addition to the solo performance, the association Ecclesia Cantic has organized a massive choir of 2,500 singers from across France to lead the liturgical music. These singers, ranging in age from 18 to 35, have undergone intensive rehearsals to master a program spanning from Gregorian chant to contemporary praise.
