Stade du 28 Septembre receives temporary CAF certification

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has granted temporary Category 3 certification to Guinea’s Stade du 28 Septembre for September 2026. This decision follows several inspection missions and significant rehabilitation work conducted by Guicopres BTP.

The certification marks a major development for Guinean football, as national teams and clubs have been forced to play home matches outside the country for nearly five years due to non-compliant infrastructure. This approval will allow the Guinea national team to host its upcoming qualification match for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil. Additionally, Guinean clubs participating in CAF interclub competitions may use the stadium for home matches during the specified period.
