Stade Ernest-Wallon granted rare general interest status

The Ernest-Wallon stadium and its annex facilities have been officially declared of general interest by a decree published on September 3, 2026. This rare legal status places the home of Stade Toulousain among a select group of approximately ten French sporting infrastructures to receive such recognition.

The designation validates the stadium's role as a multifunctional hub for the Toulouse metropolitan area, extending far beyond professional rugby. The site hosts a training center, various club associations, educational institutions, and programs focused on health, social inclusion, and citizenship. It also serves diverse populations, including people with disabilities.

The stadium has hosted significant events, including the 2024 Paris Olympic flame and serving as a base camp for the Japanese national team during the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Other notable uses include Pro D2 finals, international rugby sevens, and high-level women's football matches. This recognition supports the club's ongoing transformation and development projects.
