Hertha BSC extends league lead with seventh consecutive win

Hertha BSC maintained their perfect start to the 2. Bundesliga season, securing their seventh consecutive victory with a 2-1 win over Greuther Fürth at the Olympiastadion. Mads Pedersen opened the scoring in the 65th minute, followed by a goal from Paul Seguin in the 80th minute. Hertha captain Josip Brekalo provided assists for both goals.

Despite the win, Hertha coach Stefan Leitl expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance, noting a lack of intensity and defensive lapses. Greuther Fürth, who dropped to 15th place in the standings, managed a late consolation goal through Jannis Heuer in the 90th minute but could not secure a draw. The result extends Hertha's lead at the top of the table to four points over 1. FC Nürnberg.
