Stade Rennais commits to keeping striker Estéban Lepaul amid transfer rumours
Stade Rennais confirmed that 26‑year‑old forward Estéban Lepaul will remain with the club for the upcoming season, rejecting any potential offers. Lepaul, who was the Ligue 1 top scorer last season, signed a contract extension in June after the club paid €11.5 million to acquire him from Angers. He opened the pre‑season with a hat‑trick in a 3‑3 friendly against Galatasaray, bringing his tally to six goals in three matches. Coach Franck Haise stated there is “no discussion” about a departure and that Lepaul is focused on helping Rennes in Ligue 1 and European competition. The striker is also being mentioned as a possible candidate for the France national team under manager Zinedine Zidane.
