Esteban Lepaul extends contract with Rennes until 2030

Ligue 1’s leading scorer, 26‑year‑old Esteban Lepaul, has signed a new contract with Stade Rennais that runs until 30 June 2030, extending his previous deal by one year. Lepaul, who arrived from Angers in the summer of 2025, finished the season with 21 league goals, securing the top‑scorer title.

The agreement includes a substantial salary rise that moves him into the club’s top three earners, and Rennes has made clear it will not entertain offers below a “colossal” €60 million. While clubs such as Atlético Madrid, Benfica, Como 1907 and Paris Saint‑Germain were reported to have shown interest, the Breton side has locked the striker in place, reinforcing its negotiating position for future transfers.

The extension solidifies Rennes’ attacking options for the upcoming campaign and underlines the club’s strategy of retaining home‑grown talent after a breakout season.
