Stade Rennais nears €30M in player sales as Embolo and Brassier depart

Stade Rennais is nearing significant player departures during the current transfer window. Swiss forward Breel Embolo is set to join Atlanta United in Major League Soccer. Reports indicate an agreement has been reached for a transfer fee estimated between €15 million and €17 million, potentially including an additional €1 million in bonuses. Embolo, 29, had previously scored 10 goals for the club.

In addition to Embolo's move, defender Lilian Brassier is also expected to depart. He is reportedly close to joining Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga for a fee of approximately €12 million. These sales could bring in a combined total of nearly €30 million for the French club, aiding their efforts to restructure their squad and manage the wage bill.
