Stade Rennais players react to France national team selections

Stade Rennais players are facing contrasting outcomes following recent international call-ups by France national team manager Zinédine Zidane.

Goalkeeper Brice Samba was omitted from the squad for the first time in three years, as Zidane opted for Guillaume Restes and Robin Risser. Despite the exclusion, Samba remains determined to regain his position in the national team through high-level performances with Rennes.

In contrast, attacker Esteban Lepaul received his first call-up and featured in matches against Turkey and Belgium. While his performance did not immediately impress, Rennes coach Franck Haise noted that the experience provided Lepaul with valuable insights into international-level play and professional positioning, which could aid his future development.
