Stade Rennais prospect Elias Legendre Quiñónez nears first team

Stade Rennais may look to its youth academy to address a shortage of wingers in the first team. Elias Legendre Quiñónez, an 18-year-old professional attacker, is emerging as a potential solution for manager Franck Haise.

Quiñónez has been increasingly utilized on the right flank for the reserve team, most recently playing the full duration of a match against Saint-Lô. The young player, who has represented France at the U16 and U17 levels before choosing to represent Ecuador internationally, signed his first professional contract in December 2025. His ability to provide width and pace on the right side aligns with the tactical needs currently facing the senior squad.
