Stade Rochelais extends Watisoni Waqanisaravi contract until 2028

Stade Rochelais has officially extended the contract of Fijian player Watisoni Waqanisaravi until 2028. The 22-year-old forward, standing 1.95 m tall and weighing 127 kg, initially joined the French club as a medical joker during the 2025-2026 season.

Originally arriving from the Georgian club Kazbegi, Waqanisaravi has demonstrated significant versatility, capable of playing in both the second and third rows. His performance, including a notable try against Toulon, has secured his long-term place within Ronan O’Gara’s squad rotation.
