Stade Toulousain prepares for squad renewal amid transfer interest

Stade Toulousain manager Ugo Mola has addressed the increasing transfer interest in the club’s veteran players. Mola noted that the team’s recent successes have made even players in their thirties highly sought after by other clubs, a shift from previous eras when older players were less targeted.

To manage this, Mola emphasized a strategy of ‘transmission’ rather than ‘transition,’ aiming to renew the squad progressively without compromising performance. He cited past successful evolutions involving players like Joe Tekori and Jerome Kaino as models for maintaining competitiveness during roster changes.

The club is currently preparing for the departure of key figures François Cros and Thomas Ramos. Ramos is set to join Racing 92 in 2027, while Cros will move to Lyon. Players and staff, including second row Thibaud Flament, expressed a desire to focus on the upcoming season and ensure these long-serving members receive a proper send-off.
