Stade Toulousain to face Montpellier in Top 14 final at Stade de France

Following a decisive semifinal weekend, Stade Toulousain and Montpellier will contest the Top 14 championship final on 27 June at the Stade de France in Paris. Toulousain overpowered Racing 92 71‑17, while Montpellier secured a 25‑15 victory over Stade Français, earning their first final appearance in four years.

Both clubs have dominated recent French rugby: Toulousain have won the title four times in the last five seasons, and Montpellier entered the final on the back of a 23‑win streak across all competitions, including the Challenge Cup. The match pits Toulousain’s potent back‑line—potentially featuring Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack—against Montpellier’s strong pack and disciplined play. Injuries to Argentine internationals Santiago Chocobares and Justo Piccardo mean they will miss the final, and they will also be unavailable for the upcoming Pumas test against Scotland.

The final offers Montpellier a chance to break Toulousain’s recent dominance, while the French champions aim for a fourth consecutive Top 14 crown.
