Stade Toulousain wins In Extenso Supersevens stage in Pau

The In Extenso Supersevens rugby sevens tournament concluded its second qualifying stage in Pau, determining the participants for the grand finale in Paris.

In the men's competition, Stade Toulousain secured the stage victory, marking a historic first for the club. Their path included wins over Paris and La Rochelle, a quarter-final victory against Vannes, and a significant semi-final win against Monaco (31-14). They ultimately defeated Lyon 35-28 in the final. Other men's teams qualifying for the Paris finale include Monaco, Lyon, Clermont, Bordeaux-Bègles, Pau, Vannes, and Toulon.

In the women's tournament, LOU Rugby claimed the title by defeating Stade Toulousain 17-14 in the final, preventing a potential double for the Toulouse side.

Additionally, Rugby Club Toulonnais (RCT) has officially qualified for the SuperSevens 2026 grand finale. Despite a difficult weekend in Pau where they failed to advance from their pool, their strong performance in the previous stage at Biarritz—where they reached their first-ever stage final—secured them a 4th place finish in the general standings. The final event is scheduled to take place in February 2027 at the Plenitude Arena.
