Stadium updates: Hammam-Lif approved in Tunisia; Barea renovations set in Madagascar

The Hammam-Lif Municipal Stadium in Tunisia has officially received approval from the stadium homologation commission. The venue now meets all necessary requirements, including the capacity to host matches using VAR technology. CS Hammam-Lif is scheduled to play its first home match of the season against Club Athlétique Bizertin during the second matchday.

In Madagascar, renovation work at Stade Barea is set to begin in September to meet Confederation of African Football (CAF) standards. Minister of Youth and Sports Alain Désiré Rasambany stated that the upgrades will focus on the annex field changing rooms, stands, and access ramps.

The most critical component of the project is the pitch, which must meet strict technical requirements to secure CAF homologation and allow Madagascar to host international matches at home again. The government is currently reviewing bids to select a specialized company with proven experience in installing CAF-validated pitches.
