Stadlander reorganizes to meet social housing and sustainability goals

Housing corporation Stadlander is undergoing an organizational restructuring to meet its ten-year goal of building 2,000 social housing units and making 2,700 existing homes more sustainable.

Director Paul Huijsdens stated that the reorganization is necessary to bring the organization closer to tenants while addressing social challenges in the region, such as addiction issues. To fund these expansion and sustainability plans, Huijsdens emphasized a desire to seek capital from external sources rather than increasing costs for tenants. This strategy has led to internal cost-cutting measures, including a round of staff departures.
