Staff shortages persist at San Giovanni in Persiceto hospital

The Uil Fp union has raised concerns regarding staffing shortages at the Santissimo Salvatore Hospital in San Giovanni in Persiceto. Despite announcements from Ausl Bologna regarding 116 new hires, union representatives Massimo Aufieri and Gerardo Petrunello report that nursing and OSS staff shortages persist in the surgical department.

Currently, the workload has forced staff to work double shifts, and one wing of the department remains closed to manage the crisis. The union expressed concern regarding whether the department can fully reopen once the current closure ends without a guaranteed influx of necessary personnel.
