Stage IGC Mall Launch at West Kowloon High‑Speed Rail Terminus
Sun Hung Kai Properties and New World Development have announced the official name of the flagship retail component of the International Gateway Centre (IGC) development above Hong Kong's West Kowloon high‑speed rail station. The new mall, called Stage IGC, will cover more than 600,000 square feet across five floors and host around 240 retail outlets, with food and beverage tenants making up about 30% of the mix.
Leasing is already underway. The ground‑floor trial area of roughly 80,000 square feet is slated to open toward the end of this year, while the remaining floors are expected to open progressively, with full opening targeted for the third quarter of next year. The project aims to serve office workers, young families, cross‑border rail and airport express passengers, and visitors to the nearby West Kowloon Cultural District. It will feature incentives linked to high‑speed rail tickets, extended restaurant hours until 10:30 pm, a 1.5‑km elevated “sky green” walkway, extensive green space, and the first fully electric‑vehicle‑charged parking facility in Hong Kong. Anchor tenants include major international banks and insurers such as UBS, Ping An Bank, and AXA.
