STAI2 project launches to promote inclusive tourism in Valtellina

The STAI2 project, titled ‘Services for Accessible and Inclusive Tourism,’ has been presented in the Valtellina region. Promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers through the Minister for Disabilities and the Lombardy Region, the initiative aims to make tourism accessible to everyone, regardless of physical, sensory, or cognitive conditions.

The project is led by the Province of Pavia, with the Province of Sondrio serving as a territorial partner. It involves five municipalities and seeks to enhance natural, cultural, and gastronomic itineraries through improvements in infrastructure, technology, and training. Regional officials noted that the project aims to create a lasting legacy from the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics by transforming accessibility into long-term opportunities for local territories.
