Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska warns of fake speed‑ticket SMS scam on A4

Scammers are sending SMS messages to drivers travelling the A4 toll segment between Katowice and Kraków, claiming the recipient has committed a speeding offence and must pay a fine via a link in the text. The messages impersonate Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska, the operator of that highway section, but the company says it never issues speed‑ticket notices by SMS and has no authority to levy such fines.

Stalexport advises motorists not to click the link, warning that it can lead to theft of personal data, bank details or device infection. Victims are urged to verify any penalty through official channels and to report suspicious messages to CERT Polska on the free number 8080 or via the agency’s website. The scam exploits drivers’ urgency to avoid a purported penalty, aiming to steal money and credentials.
